What does Delegate Admission do?
Delegate Admission goes beyond just sharing access to your folders. Delegates are granted boosted permissions, such as creating email messages or responding to coming together requests on your behalf.
Equally the person granting permission, yous determine the level of access that the delegate has to your folders. Y'all tin can grant a delegate permission to read items in your folders or to read, create, alter, and delete items. By default, when you add a consul, the delegate has total admission to your Agenda and Tasks folders. The delegate can also respond to meeting requests on your behalf.

What are the delegate permission levels?
- Reviewer - With this permission, the consul can read items in your folders.
- Author - With this permission, the delegate can read and create items, and change and delete items that he or she creates. For example, a delegate can create task requests and meeting requests straight in your Chore or Calendar folder and then ship the particular on your behalf.
- Editor - With this permission, the delegate can do everything that an Author has permission to do and additionally tin can modify and delete the items that yous created.
A consul automatically receives Send on Behalf permissions. By default, the delegate tin can read only your meeting requests and responses. - Click the File tab.
- Click Business relationship Settings, and so click Delegate Access.
- Click Add.
Troubleshooting: If Add doesn't appear, an active connection might not be between Outlook and Exchange. The Outlook status bar displays the connexion status at the bottom. Close Outlook and re-launch making sure Outlook says Connected to Exchange.

- Optional: Select the Delegate can run into my individual items check box. Important: This setting affects all Exchange folders. This includes all Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, and Journal folders. There is no way to grant access to private items in only specified folders.
- Click OK.
Messages sent with Ship on Behalf permissions include both the delegate'due south and your names next to From. When a bulletin is sent with Send Every bit permissions, merely the your name appears.

- To add permissions for your delegate to read your Inbox, right-click on the top level folder with yourfirstname.lastname@minneapolis.edu and click onFolder Permissions. - ClickAdd and discover the users name in the Global Address List or highlight a name already added on the Permissions tab.
- Fix the Permission Level to the binder (Owner, Publishing Editor, Editor, Publishing Author, Author, Nonediting Author, Reviewer, Contributor, None)
- Click Apply and then Ok
Grant access to other folders and sub folders of your inbox: Step 3 of four
To manage access to sub folders and cabinates, log into the Outlook spider web app, right click on each binder and sub binder and click permissions, grant access as needed per folder and per sub binder. Granting access to the top level binder does not grant admission to all sub folders.
